I just installed a new local license file, but when I start Reactis, a window titled Reactis Settings appears, listing local MAC addresses, the local license file path, and license servers. Despite the local license file, a note appears saying [not currently using local license]. Why is this?

A common cause of this is a mangled license file. If you just installed a new license file, check that the Local license file path displayed in the Reactis Settings window is correct, and that the contents of the license file match what was sent from Reactive Systems. Contact Reactive Systems if you need a new copy of the license file.

While running Reactis I got the message Lost connection to License Manager. What happened?

If the link between Reactis and a remote License Manager fails for some reason, then you will receive this message. You will need to restart Reactis. Before you restart you might want to investigate the cause of the link failure.

Why would this link fail? There are several possibilities:

  • Memory requirements have exceeded available RAM on your machine. For large models, Reactis can require large amounts of memory to run. Try closing other applications before starting Reactis. If the problem persists, you may need to install additional RAM in your computer.
  • The network connection between your machine and the License Manager is broken. Check to make sure that all network cabling and cards are intact and functioning correctly before restarting Reactis.
  • The machine on which the License Manager is running has crashed. Check that this machine is up and running, and that the License Manager is executing before restarting Reactis.

While running Reactis I got the message Lost connection to backend. What happened?

The most likely cause of this error is that memory requirements exceeded available RAM on your machine. For large models, Reactis can require large amounts of memory to run. If this occurs, try closing other applications before starting Reactis. If the problem persists, you may need to install additional RAM in your computer.
