Reactis V2009 Now Available

Cary, NC (January 16, 2009) -- Reactive Systems, Inc. (RSI) announced the V2009 release of its Reactis® testing and validation package today. The new version includes a host of new features and enhancements since the previous major release in June 2008.

V2009 introduces several new capabilities related to the virtual instrumentation of models for testing and validation. Virtual sources provide enhanced control over what values Reactis feeds into top-level input ports of a model when generating tests with Reactis Tester or when simulating the model in Reactis Simulator. From the Reactis GUI, virtual sources are easily added to a model and connected to its top-level input ports, leaving the model-under-test unmodified in the process.

When running a test suite on a model in Reactis Simulator, a difference scope may now be opened for any top-level output port of the model to plot the expected values for the port (stored in the test) against the actual values (computed by the model). The feature is useful when comparing different versions of a model, for example when comparing the fixed point and floating point versions. It can also be useful for comparing source code against a model.

Other enhancements include support for MathWorks R2008b, more flexibility in how boundary value coverage is tracked for relational operators, better TargetLink interoperability, and new API functions.

In V2009, the Reactis for C Plugin boasts significant new functionality as well. The Reactis for C Plugin offers white box analysis of the C code portions of models (S-functions and custom C code called from Stateflow).

More details regarding the V2009 enhancements may be found in the revision history in the Reactis User's Guide.
