Reactive Systems Marks 25-Year Anniversary
Cary, NC (November 8, 2024) -- Reactive Systems, Inc. is marking the
25-year anniversary of its founding in 1999. The company develops and
markets the Reactis® family of software testing and verification tools used
by engineers in the automotive and aerospace industries. The company would
like to express heartfelt thanks to all who have supported the journey,
including customers, employees, investors, partners, service providers, and
others.
Several companies who purchased the launch version of Reactis in 2002 still
use Reactis today. The average duration of Reactis use among active users is
more than 10 years. Reactive Systems has benefited greatly from the interaction
with all users, from the most early to most recent adopters. Thank you to all!
We are also very pleased and thankful that employees have found Reactive
Systems a fulfilling place to work. Some current (and retired) employees
measure their tenure in decades and the average tenure of all current
employees is 13 years.
Reactive Systems Milestones
- 1999. Rance Cleaveland, Scott Smolka, and Steve Sims found
Reactive Systems as a New York S-Corporation.
- 2000. Reactive Systems opens office in Falls Church, VA.
- 2000. National Science Foundation awards Reactive Systems
a Small Business Innovation Research grant to investigate tools to
support the development of embedded software.
- 2002. Reactive Systems launches Reactis, a tool to test and
debug Simulink® models of embedded software.
- 2002. Reactive Systems joins MathWorks Partner program.
- 2006. Office of Naval Research awards Small Business Innovation
Research Grant to Reactive Systems.
- 2007. Japan branch office opens.
- 2008. Headquarters relocates to Cary, North Carolina.
- 2008. Reactis for C Plugin launched to test S-Functions and Stateflow
custom code.
- 2010. Reactive Systems joins TargetLink Partner program.
- 2010. Reactive Systems awarded patent for guided simulation
automatic test generation technique.
- 2011. Reactis for C launched to test standalone C code.
- 2015. Reactis for EML Plugin launched to test Embedded MATLAB®
code within a Simulink model (MATLAB Function blocks or called from Stateflow®).
- 2021. Reactis products obtain ISO 26262 certification for the use
in the development of safety-critical automotive software.
- 2022. State of incorporation changes from New York to North Carolina.
