Falls Church, VA (February 4, 2003) -- Reactive Systems, Inc. (RSI) announced the V2003 release of its Reactis™ embedded-software design automation tool today.
Reactis supports the automatic generation of thorough yet compact test suites from models of software given in The MathWorks, Inc.'s market-leading Simulink / Stateflow notations. The tool also includes facilities for visualizing the execution of these tests and for running tests on software.
According to Steve Sims, RSI's Chief Technology Officer, the key new features of the new V2003 release include a revamped user interface and support for features of Simulink, such as S-functions, that were previously unsupported. "We believe the new features will enable our customers to run their existing production models virtually 'as is'," he said.

"Based on their feedback, and on ideas of our own, we believe V2003 is well-positioned to help our customers streamline their Simulink / Stateflow model development and embedded-software testing."
V2003 marks the third release of Reactis; other releases include V2002 and V2002.1. The tool has been acquired by over 20 companies to date.
RSI is a privately held company headquartered in Falls Church, Virginia. The
company is commercializing basic research initially carried out at SUNY at
Stony Brook and the Naval Research Laboratory with the help of $10 million in
Federal research funding.
