Reactis V2006 Now Available

Falls Church, VA (January 25, 2006) -- Reactive Systems, Inc. (RSI) announced the V2006 release of its Reactis® testing and validation package today. This version of Reactis includes numerous new features and enhancements since the previous major release in May of 2005.

The release introduces a new file format for test suites that allows Reactis to access a test suite directly on disk instead of requiring the entire suite to be loaded in memory. The format enables Reactis to manipulate dramatically larger test suites. "The new format is especially useful when importing very large tests created outside of Reactis," said RSI CTO Steve Sims. "This enables customers to measure the coverage level attained by external tests and then enhance them with test data generated automatically with Reactis Tester."

Sims also noted that V2006 offers new tools for covering interruptible timer conditions. Such a timer consists of a variable that changes its value from a start value to an end value by some increment. Creating tests that cause such timers to reach their end value is can be a challenge since, it is often possible for the variable to be reset to its start value as the system executes. V2006 includes several new features to simplify the task of creating tests that cause timer conditions to reach their end values.

V2006 includes numerous other new features including enhanced model navigation, license manager enhancements, API improvements, newly- supported Simulink and Stateflow features and many others.

More details regarding the V2006 enhancements may be found in the revision history in the Reactis User's Guide.
