Reactis V2006.2 Now Available

Falls Church, VA (November 7, 2006) -- Reactive Systems, Inc. (RSI) announced the V2006.2 release of its Reactis® testing and validation package today. This version of Reactis includes numerous new features and enhancements since the previous major release in January of this year.

The release includes support for a number of new Simulink and Stateflow features. "As the Reactis user-base has grown, we have seen more and more requests to support additional features of Simulink and Stateflow," said RSI CTO Steve Sims. "The cumulative effect of addressing these requests is that Reactis now supports a fairly comprehensive subset of the language." Some of the features newly-supported in V2006.2 include the following.

  1. Support MathWorks R2006b release.
  2. The restriction that MC/DC decisions can have no more than 12 conditions has been removed.
  3. Support for fixed point values in S-Functions.
  4. Support Simulink bus objects.
  5. Support for custom C code in Stateflow charts. In Stateflow, users can include external C code that is called from condition or transition actions within Stateflow.

V2006.2 also includes a number of new types of coverage tracking, including targets for 1-D and 2-D lookup tables and additional MC/DC-related targets. The net effect of these additions to the previously supported set of coverage criteria is the automatic generation of even more comprehensive test suites.

More details regarding the V2006.2 enhancements may be found in the revision history in the Reactis User's Guide.
